Summary: "SHAME ..SHAME..SHAME"
this book was given such newspaper coverage from our area towns that the man got free press..there is NO GOOD NEWS..Dr Petit lost his entire family in a few hours..if people woouldn't have screamed at banning this book it would have withered on the shelf..but as with anything when told not to do it makes it all the more exciting and titilating to do..i blame the newspaper and the outrage calls to ban...only gave more excitement to the people...the criminals are still fighting their "free rights" unfair punishment to the courts because the lights are to bright...hmmm..did they feel that way as they killed those women...me thinks not..

Will someone please tell me how the family has been exploited? This book is just like all other "True Crime" books, the family has been murdered, and here is the story. Period.
The most hair-raising event in this book is where the mom actually leaves her daughters tied-up at home with one of the murderers... goes to her bank with the other murderer....never says a word to anyone in the bank...withdraws money.....and returns home! This was a great opportunity for mom to save her children and mom dropped the ball.
WOW! I was floored by mom ...yet the author handled her actions with kid gloves.
Exploited? No way.

Summary: "Please do not support this illegally obtained book"
Not only has no trial taken place, this was an opportunity by a manipulative accused murderer/rapist/arsonist to whine about his pain and apparently the author and publisher conspired with him to skirt the gag order in place. Why? To make money? Possibly disrail the legal proceedings? Whatever they were thinking they have caused significant pain to the sole survivor and other family members. I am shocked that Amazon would carry this book now knowing the deception that was used to obtain some of the information. As well as from reading reviews by people who actually read it, the book is not worth it! Please do not buy.
